Ponca City Sewer Project #2

The Ponca City Sanitary Sewer Improvement Program Project #2 (shown at left), was a 5,300 linear feet, 24” sanitary sewer interceptor relocation and replacement project through several established neighborhoods.

The original bid amount for this project was $1,432,789 and by the time the project was completed a final deduct change order for the project of $148,696 through value engineering and necessary field adjustments was realized by the City of Ponca City. Cabbiness Engineering is currently working on the remaining two projects of the Ponca City Sewer Improvement Program and hope to complete the design and construction by the spring of 2011, ahead of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality’s (ODEQ) consent order schedule. All told, the City of Ponca City will have made approximately 20% more improvements to its aging sanitary sewer infrastructure than originally budgeted. This added amount of sewer improvements for our client has been directly attributed to Mr. Cabbiness and staff’s diligent search for functional and feasible design solutions.
