The most recent award winning roadway project Mr. Cabbiness was in responsible charge of was the US-62 widening and pavement reconstruction through the city of Blanchard (photo left). This project transformed a narrow two (2) lane roadway into a five (5) lane urban arterial through the middle of town. Mr. Cabbiness was instrumental in determining the proposed alignment that minimized the impact to the local business community and residents that fronted the highway. Thus for his design efforts and the general contractors construction performance, this project was another Concrete Pavement Association award winner in 2009.
