Pre-Stressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP)
4-Miles
Cabbiness Engineering, LLC (Cabbiness), Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN), and Pure Technologies (Pure), have teamed to provide professional engineering and assessment services for an extensive condition assessment of the City of Enid’s existing 30-inch pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) raw water pipe line. The engineering design team is comprised of local and nationally recognized engineering experts.
The City’s 30-inch PCCP raw water pipeline to be studied commences at the Ames Pump Station and primarily traverses across farmland to the Enid Water Treatment Plant #1, located north West Chestnut Avenue just east of Cleveland Street. The design team will provide a full condition assessment of only the four (4) miles of the approximately twenty-five (25) mile pipeline that falls within the Enid city limits.
The project’s intent is to provide Enid with an independent perspective based on our engineering team’s experience with PCCP pipe design and evaluations of failure mechanisms in order to accurately determine the current condition and identify approaches to maintain the safe, reliable operation of this water transmission pipeline. The project will culminate with a detailed, written report that Enid can use for future planning, operations and maintenance programming purposes.
