12- to 8-Inch Waterline
Located in Downtown Enid
Completed Construction in 120 Days
Due to the City of Enid’s existing downtown waterline distribution system being drastically undersized, Cabbiness Engineering designed a plan that connected the existing 8-inch waterlines at Washington Street, Independence Avenue, Grand Avenue, and 2nd Street to 12-inch waterlines to create a more feasible and flexible-looped system.
The preliminary engineering phase began with a topographical survey that served as the basis of design. Additionally, during this phase, we evaluated existing waterline alignments and compared utility atlas data to ensure complete compatibility before final analysis and approval.
Additionally, with the project being located in the heart of downtown Enid, we had to generate a construction sequencing plan that accommodated the various businesses, residences, and general public that were directly, as well as indirectly, impacted. Another challenge our team faced with this project was the need to acquire a construction permit from, as well as work with the Union Pacific Railroad standards. All while completing construction in 120 working days.
