In 2010, Cabbiness Engineering provided designs for the widening of an existing residential street in Eastern Ponca City.
The reconstruction was on Meadow Lane between Prospect and Crawford Avenues and the roadway widening, reconstruction, and drainage improvements to Meadow Lane were approximately 500 linear feet in length.
The improvements that were taken into consideration for the widening of the street were:
-
The removal of the existing street
-
Stabilization and compaction of the underlying sub-grade
-
Construction of new curbs and gutters
-
Construction of 6 inch dowel-jointed concrete pavement
-
Reconstruction of concrete approaches and existing driveways
Additionally, drainage improvements were constructed, which included new drainage inlets and storm sewer system.
After completion, this new segment of roadway was also reclassified as a city collector roadway.
