8-Foot Shoulders

6 Bridges

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) solicited to add eight (8) foot shoulders and resurface the twelve (12) foot driving lanes of SH-11 for 11.53 miles from the SH-74 junction east to approximately the southbound I-35 ramps. The roadway design work will generally consist of grading, drainage and surfacing. Erosion control, clearing and grubbing, coordination of utility relocations (if necessary), signing and striping. Design items will also be included within the project limits. The traffic engineering design scope of work for both projects 31809(04) and 31809(05) will include both temporary and permanent traffic control (permanent signage and striping). It is anticipated that one (1) lane of traffic will remain open during bridge box widening utilizing temporary traffic signals. There are six (6) bridges along both projects  - with 4 being project exceptions  - NBI 00343 is an existing square bridge-sized reinforced concrete box culvert structure which will be extended to both sides on existing alignment. NBI 03974 is an existing skewed bridge-sized reinforced concrete box culvert structure which will be extended to both sides on existing alignment.
