New Multi-Span Bridge

Constructed on an Offset Alignment

The intention of this project was to construct a new bridge structure and new roadway segment on an offset alignment to mitigate any construction impacts to the city park adjacent to the project site and to accommodate future divided roadway improvements.

Cabbiness Engineering and its design team provided design services for the replacement of the new multi-span bridge constructed on offset alignments just south of the existing US-64 alignment. Inclusive with the bridge design were the replacement of two bridge box structures for the main Big Sallisaw Creek. The roadway section was designed to accommodate the eastbound lanes of US-64 if the roadway were to become a fully divided roadway section in the future.
