Replacement or Rehabilitation of 40 Cross Drains
Project Extents: 7-Miles
Provided educational workshops on all potential trenchless methods of pipe rehabilitation and replacement
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation desired to replace or rehabilitate approximately 40 cross drain pipes along a 7-Mile stretch of US-64/US-412 in Pawnee County. Additionally, ODOT wished to replace or rehabilitate these pipe cross drains with alternative (Trenchless) construction methods, so not to impact the traveling public or shut down the highway during construction.
Cabbiness Engineering was chosen for this project due to our extensive experience and our record of success utilizing trenchless construction methods throughout the state of Oklahoma.
The project design will be broken down into two sub-categories:
-
Condition Assessment of the existing pipes; and
-
The actual rehabilitation or replacement design.
During the condition assessment phase, an evaluation matrix was developed to prioritize each pipe and guide the team toward the most functional and feasible design solution.
Prior to construction, the Cabbiness team also provided educational workshops on all potential trenchless methods of pipe rehabilitation or replacement for ODOT staff.
