Widening of 2-Lane to a 5-Lane Roadway
Addition of a 10-Foot Paved Shoulder
The City of Norman contracted with Cabbiness Engineering to provide engineering services to analyze and prepare construction plans for the widening of East Alameda Street in Norman, Oklahoma.
Additional items to be incorporated within the design documents are coordinated utility relocations; a complete, detailed traffic study; prepared right-of-way acquisitions documents; and the submission of complete bidding documents in accordance with the City of Norman and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) standards.
The City of Norman has identified the project as follows:
Widen approximately ½ mile of East Alameda Street from two (2) lanes to five (5) lanes beginning at Ridge Lake Boulevard to 36th Avenue East and add a ten foot (10-foot) paved shoulder to East Alameda Street from approximately 36th Avenue East to 48th Avenue East. Inclusive with this project will be the improvements of the intersections of 36th Avenue East and 48th Avenue East at East Alameda Street.
